San Nong
Composed in 2012, performed by Peiyang Chorus (2016)
The inspiration of San Nong came from the piece OIWAKE BUSHIKO, composed by Mr. Minao SHIBATA, which help me know about the Japanese traditional ballad. Afterward, I decided to compose a work which can help spread Chinese culture. San Nong, part of whose theme is from Chinese traditional instrument Qin's work Mei Hua San Nong (Three variations of plum flower), contains three parts represent the heaven, the ground and the human respectively and can help understant the ultimate mental realm of Chinese traditional culture.
